"Are Some Astrological Measurements

More Compelling Than Others?"

This is an interesting question. Modern astrologers recognize that free willto a large extentdetermines how a particular measurement plays out in an individual's life. While the specific nature of a given measurement determines the range of expectations of probable outcomes, astrology cannot be evaluated in a vacuum—only in the arena of human experience.

Some measurements are inherently much more compelling than others. symbolize tension, and are motivating factors because they are inherently somewhat uncomfortable. That is, we're motivated to do something to resolve this tension. You may have heard me mention these challenging measurements as if they were a rock in our shoes. By virtue of their presence, our attention focuses on that discomfort until we recognize that some action is necessary to resolve the discomfort.

The "easy or soft aspects" are much less compelling as they don't represent much tension. Rather, they suggest opportunities or contribute a supportive influence. Unfortunately, by their very nature, they are also quite easy to ignore. They often represent a "use it or lose it" situation. We can accomplish tasks much more easily when these influences are highlighted and utilized. We can also complacently let these potentially beneficial influences pass us by, not taking full advantage of them.  It's all too easy to think, "Well this was a really nice week", but had we been aware and vigilant in our utilization of these influences, we could have accomplished a great deal. The worst thing that we can do with these easy aspects is to do nothing, and an opportunity will have be missed.

Whether we're dealing with challenges, motivations, or opportunities, Astrology can provide substantial insight into ourselves. The cyclic nature of astrology allows us to anticipate both times of challenge and times when windows of opportunity are open to us.

A qualified astrologer can help you understand the unique influences that will be with you your whole life and to develop a personal timetable so that you are better prepared for life's challenges and its opportunities.
