Wow! The title of this article
sounds just like one of those TV infomercials -- but trust me about
this -- I'm totally serious.
How often have you found yourself
scanning a seemingly infinite number of cable or satellite TV channels
only to find nothing worth watching? Well, there are many
wonderful opportunities to hone your astrological skills while being
entertained. An added plus is that your non-astrology
obsessed family members won't feel left out!
What I'm referring to is the
high-quality biographical programs featured on many of the cable
stations. These programs offer commentary about or actual interviews
with the individual that chronicles significant events throughout their
lives.
With a little advance notice and access
to a computer astrology program like Win*Star and birth data from a
quality site like http://www.astrodatabank.com/index.htm
or elsewhere, we can quickly be armed with the famous person's birth chart
and follow along with the program while making mental or written notes
about how the birth chart was demonstrated in their life.
We can choose to video tape the episode
and play it when there is "nothing on", or replay it at our
convenience to reinforce our learning. The process can develop into
a new pursuit -- with a much bigger potential payback than watching
something we're not really interested in or another mindless sitcom.
You can get as detailed as you're
inclined. You can even track the effects of Transits, Solar Arcs,
and Aries Points to turn the biography into an advanced learning tool.
When we're examining the life of someone
"famous" we often gain easily remembered insight into
astrological nuances that we can apply in our own charts or in those of
people we know.
I'll conclude this month's article with
two of my favorite biographical shows and links to their Web sites. Biography
even has email notification of upcoming shows to allow us to be totally
prepared to watch or record the show.
Enjoy!
