First
of all, it isn’t necessary to know anything at all about astrology.
The astrologer shouldn’t talk in technical terms (astrological
jargon). You’re there to
learn practical and useful information – not to learn astrology, right?
Personally, I don’t talk at all about astrology during the
session – only the practical implications of what the astrology suggests
that can be useful and helpful to my client.
The
only data an astrologer needs is your birth date, place, and time.
An accurate birth time adds significant information necessary to
provide more specifics during your session.
That’s it, really. But
there is more that you can do prior to your scheduled appointment
in order to get the most out of the session.
It
is extremely helpful to ask yourself, “What do I want to get out of
this?” Don’t hesitate to make some notes for yourself so that
there’s no chance that you’ll forget to ask an important question.
The astrologer may ask, “What are your reasons for scheduling
an appointment at this time?” If there are specific issues that you’d like to have
addressed, let the astrologer know when you schedule the appointment.
It isn’t necessary to go into great detail, but it allows the
astrologer to allocate adequate time to address the issues most important
to you.
The
astrologer should encourage your feedback during the session.
This allows him or her to apply your horoscope to you
rather than squeezing you into a predetermined astrological mold.
In this regard, the most productive sessions are really interactive
“consultations” rather than just a “reading”.
As the astrologer better understands you, they also become better
equipped to provide you with the most appropriate individualized
information.
The
predictable cyclic nature of astrology allows us to accurately anticipate
many events. Not only is it
possible to be aware of potential hazards along our paths, it can also
make us more cognizant of opportunities and options that might otherwise
elude us.
Normally,
people want to know about relationships, career, and money.
But if you’re considering a move, a job opportunity, a home
purchase, or any other major decision – by all means mention it prior to
your appointment. One of the
astrologer’s jobs is to help you to evaluate and see things more
objectively and make better-informed decisions.
The
use of astrology can help us see possibilities and opportunities that can
be fine-tuned to best match our unique personal goals and ambitions.
Active participation and involvement in your own life is the
primary determining factor for what you make of these situations.
Astrological measurements – no matter how positive – will not
magically make that winning lottery ticket drop into your lap. If we
aren’t willing to take an active role in our own development we’re not
likely to get the maximum effect.
